Hey there, I'm finally back!!
Continuing with the Sonic CD arrangements, I wanted to test my luck with a special stage re-imagination.
The original one is quite a weird track, especially with those non-functional chord progressions and sound design choices, so I wanted to maintain that while also expanding it as with every previous CD remix, and the approach that I chose was arranging it as if it was going to be played at a night club.
I carefully picked the lead instrument as I wanted it to be a polyphonic sample, but trying to find the one that goes well with the chords I had in mind was quite difficult haha, I ended up picking the one they use in Bomberman Hero, I think it sounds natural here.
Another challenge here was the drop that plays at the middle, I wanted it to sound like trance music, but I have zero experience in that genre lmao, it was still fun though cause I got to experiment a bit with sidechaining, and I'm happy with the final result. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed arranging it :)
